Growing Up, Education and Family

I grew up in Northern California and received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California Davis in 1976. I was fortunate to attend Multnomah School of the Bible's one year graduate program in 1977. It was this exposure to the Pacific Northwest that brought me back four years later, in 1981, after graduating from the University of California San Francisco Dental School. Just after graduating from dental school, my wife Joanne and I were married and moved to Camas. I have come to love the Northwest, except for the rain in June, July, and August. I enjoy being part of this small community. For my two children, a son and a daughter, it has provided a great place to grow up. We seek to follow the Lord daily and attend Camas Assembly of God. My other pastimes include woodworking, trap shooting, and riding my Harley.

Why Dentistry
I knew I wanted to be a dentist since I was 14 years old. I have had braces twice and more dental work than most of my patients have ever had. I have found this helps me to relate to their fears and concerns and allows me to encourage them with the promise of a better, healthier smile.

My Commitment
I am committed to excellence. I am a perfectionist by nature. This attitude is central to my practice as I seek to ensure that all of my patients not only have a great dental experience but the highest quality dental work possible. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington Dental Association (WSDA) and the Clark County Dental Association.
